ZESTRO  LEOW

Zestro Leow (b. 1994) in Singapore. Leow experiments in the field of ceramics art, where he started pursuing Fine Arts studies in Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in 2012.

 

Leow's ceramics sculptures are strongly influenced by the beliefs and aesthetic ideas of the eastern culture.

In his current practice, largely involving wheel-throwing - his strong suit - coupled with fresh atypical textures, has acquainted him with partisan ceramists from across the map.

Beyond collaborations with art markets to garner recognition for the artisans of Singapore, his higher calling seeks to elevate

the humble time-honored craft of ceramics by transcending into the slightly charted world of fine crafts.
